BBQ, Fellowship & a Great Start to the Rotary Year
What a fantastic way to come together as we kick off another Rotary year!
Our recent BBQ was filled with laughter, great food, friendly competition, and - most importantly- wonderful fellowship. It was a perfect reminder of what Rotary is all about: connection, friendship, and service, shared in good company.
A huge thank you to the Deane and Sonya Chalmers for generously hosting us and making everyone feel so welcome. Your hospitality set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon that was truly appreciated by all.
The much-anticipated Potato in the Bucket Challenge certainly added to the fun!
Winner: Albert
Second: Sonya
Third: Doug Lindsay
And a special mention to the losing team - Gilmete Girls - at least they participated. 😉
In total we donated 5.4kg of potatoes to the Food Bank.
As we move forward into this Rotary year, events like this remind us that while our projects and service are important, the friendships we build along the way are just as vital. Here is to another year of working together, supporting our community, and enjoying the journey as a Rotary Family.
